Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets in the 18th match of the 13th season of IPL. The match saw an unbeaten 181-run partnership between Chennai opener Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis.

In the 18th match of the 13th season of IPL, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Kings XI Punjab by 10 wickets. For the first time in the season, a team has won the match by chasing in Dubai. Earlier there were 7 matches on this ground, in which only the team batting first won. The match saw an unbeaten 181-run partnership between Chennai opener Shane Watson (83) and Faf du Plessis (87). This is the biggest partnership for the first wicket for Chennai.

Earlier, Mike Hussey and Murali Vijay had a 159-run opening partnership for Chennai against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2011. Watson was awarded man of the match for the match-winning innings of 83* off 53 deliveries.

Watson’s 20th and Du Plessis’s 15th Fifty

Faf du Plessis made his 15th IPL fifty and Watson’s 20th fifty in IPL. Faf du Plessis scored an unbeaten 87 off 53 balls. He hit 11 fours and a six in his innings. At the same time, Watson also played an unbeaten 83 runs facing 53 balls. During this, he hit 11 fours and 3 sixes.
