IPL 2021 Auction: List of Players With Highest Base Price
The auction for the 14th Edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) is scheduled to February 18, a totla of 1097 players from all over the world have registered for the upcoming auction.
The mini-auction for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is almost near and all franchises are busy trying to zero in on the players they would target on February 18.
February 4 was the last date for nomination of players to be included in the Indian Premier League auction to be held in Chennai this year. A total of 1097 players from all over the world have enrolled for it. It consists of 814 Indian and 283 foreign players.
There are some names in the auction that will be the subject of discussion before the 14th edition of IPL this year. It features fast bowler S Sreesanth, Arjun Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh and Cheteshwar Pujara.
Arjun played for the Mumbai team in this year’s BCCI domestic T20 tournament Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. With this match, he became the player to qualify for the IPL auction. Arjun will appear in this year’s auction with a minimum base price of 20 lakhs.
Harbhajan Singh withdrew from the tournament last season due to the outbreak of the corona pandemic and requested Chennai Super Kings to release him before the last date. With a base price of 2 crores, he will participate in this year’s auction. At the same time, S Sreesanth, who returned after facing a ban of 7 years from IPL, will be in the auction with a base price of 75 lakhs.
Apart from Harbhajan Singh, the list of players to be auctioned with a base price of 2 crores includes Glenn Maxwell, Kedar Jadhav, Steve Smith, Moeen Ali, Sam Billings, Liam Plunkett, Jason Roy, Mark Wood and Colin Ingram. Cheteshwar Pujara, who performed well in the Test series in Australia for India, will be included in the IPL mini-auction with a base price of 1 million.
