Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik played a match-winning knock on Saturday, which saw RCB register their fourth win of the IPL 2022.

Riding on Karthik’s brilliant 34-ball 64 runs, RCB posted a decent total of 189 for 5. In reply, the Capitals could only manage 173 for seven despite David Warner’s sensational 38-ball 66

The Player of the match, Dinesh Karthik has now scored 197 runs in six games for RCB with a strike rate of above 200. After playing a sensational knock for his side, Karthik admitted that he is preparing himself for a ‘comeback’ into the Indian team.

“I must admit that I have a bigger goal. I have been working really hard. My aim is to do something special for the country. This is part of my journey. I have been trying everything to be a part of the Indian team,” said Karthik in the post-match presentation.

Karthik has been finishing the games regularly for the team and has provided free hands to the top order batters to play freely. He was also adjudged Man of the Match for his performance.

“Depends on the bowler, whoever is bowling well. I respected Kuldeep as he was bowling well. When you are batting at the death, you try and get under the ball more while hitting.”

Royal Challengers Bangalore, with four wins from six games, are now placed at third position in the points table.
