IPL 2023 Auction: Cameron Green to put his name for mini-auction

Cameron Green's batting exploits on Australia's recent tour of India certainly make him a hot property in IPL 2023 mini-auction.

The young batting dynamo of Australia, Cameron Green will register his name in the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction, the Sportstar reported on Tuesday, November 15.

Green impressed one and all on Australia’s recent tour of India with his all-around skills as he clobbered two quick fifties with the bat and was handy with the ball too.

However, he couldn’t replicate the same against West Indies and England at home before the T20 World Cup. He was later added to Australia’s T20 World Cup squad after Josh Inglis was ruled out of the tournament.

Overall, he played eight T20I for Australia so far, where he accumulated 139 runs at an average of 17.38 and a strike rate of 173.75. With the ball, he has picked up five wickets in seven innings so far.

Considering his batting exploits and bowling skills, he is expected to cause a  bidding war among IPL franchises in the upcoming IPL 2023 mini-auction.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had asked all ten teams to submit their list of retained and released players by November 15.

In addition to the purse remaining from the previous auction and the value of the players they release, teams will have an additional Rs 5 crore to spend in the upcoming auction.
