England all-rounder Sam Curran became the most expensive player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history after Punjab Kings bought him for a whopping INR 18.50 crore at the 2023 mini-auction of the cash-rich league.
Meanwhile, Cameron Green was signed by Mumbai Indians for INR 17.50 crore, making him the second most expensive player in the IPL while Ben Stokes was the third costliest buy of the auction as CSK roped in for a whopping amount of INR 16.25 crore.
