Mumbai Indians released a total of 13 players from their squad ahead of the IPL 2023 auction while they have retained a total of 15 players from the previous season’s squad.

Legendary West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League and has taken up a new role with the five-time champions.

The T20 Stalwart has been appointed as the batting coach of the Mumbai Indians. They have also acquired the services of Australian left-arm pacer Jason Behrendorff following a successful all-cash trade with Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Currently, their squad comprises 16 players. They have currently 9 slots available to be filled, with 3 reserved for overseas players.

A total of 991 players have registered for the IPL auction this year, and Mumbai Indians will be looking for the best nine in the marquee event.
