IPL 2023: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Strongest Predicted Playing XI
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the opening match of IPL 2023.
The Women’s Premier League has come to an end, with the Mumbai Indians crowned as the first-ever champions. As the dust settles, all eyes turn towards the Indian premier league, ready to set the stage ablaze.
The opening match of the tournament will see Chennai Super Kings locking horns with Gujarat Titans on March 31st. The Men in Yellow had a lacklustre tournament last year, finishing second-last on the points table with only four wins. This season, they’ll be aiming for an improved performance.
The IPL 2023 auction saw Chennai Super Kings make some impressive signings to strengthen their squad, including English all-rounder Ben Stokes, and Kiwi pacer Kyle Jamieson. However, they were dealt a major setback when Kylie Jamieson was ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
CSK’s hopes have further taken a hit with the absence of their star pacer Mukesh Chaudhary, who impressed one and all with his pace and swing in the last edition of the tournament. However, they have found a replacement in South African pacer Sisanda Magala.
Regarding the Chennai Super Kings’ playing XI, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway are set to open the innings, with Ambati, Rayudu, and MS Dhoni following them.. The middle order will also feature Moeen Ali and Shivam Dube.
The team will have Ravindra Jadeja and Ben Stokes as their two specialist all-rounders, with Tushar Deshpande and Deepak Chahar handling the pace bowling. One of Mitchell Santner or Maheesh Theekshana will be the team’s specialist spinner.
