IPL 2023: End of an Era as Dwayne Bravo Opts Out of Auction – Reports
CSK released Dwayne Bravo ahead of IPL 2023 auction.

It’s the end of an era in the Indian Premier League as veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo decides to keep himself away from the cash-rich league, at least as a player.
Having been released by the Chennai Super Kings earlier in November, the legendary all-rounder has not put his name for the IPL 2023 auction, ESPNCricinfo reported on Thursday, December 1.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Thursday (December 1) confirmed that as many as 991 players, including 714 Indians and 277 overseas players, have registered themselves for the mini-auction.
Bravo, a three-time IPL winner has not registered himself among the 991 players, which also includes 33 West Indies players, who have put their names on the list for the IPL 2023 mini-auction.
The West Indies all-rounder is the highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 183 scalps to his name. He has been a long servant of Chennai Super Kings, having spent more than a decade with them.
However, ahead of the auction this year, he was released from the team. While it was speculated that he would be bought back by the franchise at a much lesser price, his name was not among the 991 put forward in the long list.
The veteran all-rounder is currently playing in the T10 League in Abu Dhabi, where he is leading Delhi Bulls. He announced his international retirement last year after the 2021 T20 World Cup.
