IPL 2023: Jofra Archer Fit To Play For Mumbai Indians (MI) Next Season – Report
Mumbai Indians retained Jofra Archer ahead of IPL 2023 auction.
Mumbai Indians’ right-arm pacer Jofra Archer is expected to be fit for the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Cricbuzz reported on Friday, November 18.
The English pacer has been out of action for over a year now. He last played for England in March 2021 before his injury resurfaced while playing in the county championship in July.
He didn’t feature in the 2022 season of the IPL due to a back issue but he is expected to play in the upcoming season of the cash-rich league. They have retained him during the recent retention window.
The five-time champions played a huge gamble as they roped in the England pacer for a whopping amount of INR 8 Crore in the mega-auction held earlier this year ahead of the IPL 2022 season.
Archer along with Jasprit Bumrah will make a deadly fast bowling pair in the cash-rich tournament. However, the duo is currently out of action but is expected to make a return in the IPL 2023, starting March next year.
