Who is Sai Sudharsan?
Hailing from Tamil Nadu, Sai Sudharsan embarked on his cricket journey at a tender age, and his breakthrough moment arrived when he notched up an exceptional 635 runs for Alwarpet CC during the 2019-20 Raja of Palayampatti Shield.
In 2021, he marked his first appearance in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Tamil Nadu. Later on, he made his List A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He is a regular run-getter in the Tamil Nadu Premier League.
The TNPL 2021 saw him dominate the batting charts, finishing as the second-highest run-scorer with an impressive aggregate of 358 runs from eight innings at a strike rate of 144.
His journey in the IPL took off in 2022 when he was picked by the Gujarat Titans at his base price of INR 20 lakh in the auction. He amassed 145 runs from five appearances, including a half-century last season.
In the IPL 2023, he made a much greater impact, amassing 362 runs in eight matches at a strike rate of 141, including three half-centuries.
