Sanjiv Goenka, owner of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), quashed rumours of a rift with IPL team captain KL Rahul by hosting him at his residence for dinner. A photo of Goenka hugging Rahul went viral on the internet on Tuesday.
For the unversed, Sanjiv Goenka was visibly upset with KL Rahul, and publicly lashed out at him after Lucknow’s one-sided defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) a few days ago.
Lucknow Super Giants takes on Delhi Capitals today at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. With just two games left in the league, Lucknow can still secure a playoff spot if they win both matches and get some favourable results elsewhere.
A loss today will mark the end of DC’s campaign. Although their chances are slim, mathematically, they’re still in the playoff race.
