IPL 2024 Auction: Rilee Rossouw Predicts Intense Bidding War Between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders for His Services

South African batter Rilee Rossouw is expecting a competitive bidding war for him among teams in the upcoming IPL 2024 auction, scheduled for December 19 in Dubai.

Rossouw, who was bought by Delhi Capitals for 4.60 Crore in the 2023 IPL auction, didn’t live up to expectations and was released ahead of the next season.

The Proteas batter has expressed his wish for bids from both Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming mini-auction. Here’s what Rilee Rossouw told the Hindustan Times at the Abu Dhabi T20 event:

“I don’t have a specific preference at the moment. I had a great experience with Delhi Capitals last year, and we had a strong team bond. However, I also performed well with the Knights in the American League. It would be exciting if there was some competition in the bidding process. Ideally, a bit of a bidding war would be favourable for me.”
