Harshit Rana has been fined 100% match fees and handed a one-match ban.
Harshit Rana, the young fast bowler from Kolkata Knight Riders, has been fined his entire match fee for a code of conduct breach during the IPL 2024 match versus Delhi Capitals on April 29 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Additionally, Harshit Rana has received a one-match ban. Although the statement from officials has not provided a reason, there is speculation that during the match against Delhi Capitals, after dismissing Abhishek Porel, he attempted his flying kiss celebration but stopped midway.
Earlier, during the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Harshit Rana was fined 60% of his match fees for his actions. Following the dismissal of Mayank Agarwal, he performed a flying kiss celebration directed at Mayank Agarwal’s face.
Harshit Rana has acknowledged the charges presented by the umpires to the match referees. This means that he will not be available for selection in the Kolkata Knight Riders’ next match against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium on May 3.
