The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) camp is in turmoil after their captain, KL Rahul, missed the team’s travel to Delhi for their upcoming must-win match against the Delhi Capitals on Wednesday, May 14.
This follows a heavy defeat against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and a heated exchange caught on camera between KL Rahul and LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka.
KL Rahul to Part Ways With LSG?
The lack of official communication regarding Rahul’s absence and his missed travel to Delhi fuels speculation of a potential rift between him and the franchise. This further strengthens rumours that KL Rahul might leave Lucknow Super Giants ahead of the next mega auction.
If the Karnataka batter does enter the auction pool, a bidding war is highly anticipated. Teams like Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are expected to go all out for the star batter, considering his experience and leadership qualities.
Only time will tell if Rahul will patch things up with LSG or seek a fresh start in a new IPL franchise.
