IPL 2024 – Match 13, DC vs CSK: MS Dhoni to Bat at Number 5? Chennai Super Kings Probable Playing 11 vs Delhi Capital

Chennai is likely to ground an unchanged Playing 11 for this contest.

The thirteenth game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will see Chennai Super Kings clashing with Delhi Capitals at their tentative home ground in Visakhapatnam on 31st March, Sunday.

Chennai‘s newly appointed skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad has had a near-perfect start to his tenure as a skipper, he would now look to get his performance back as a batter where he would want to improve his batting strike rate, and with him, there is another wonderful striker of the ball in Rachin Ravindra who seamlessly came into the setup and filled the void created by the absence of Devon Conway.

Ajinkya Rahane who has had a quiet start to his 2024 season would want to bring back the form he showed in the previous season.

With him they have two of the best strikers of the cricket ball in them Daryl Mitchell and Shivam Dube who use their long reach to dispatch the length of the opposition spinner and both of them have improved their gameplay against quicks too which makes it difficult for the opposition captain to make plans for.

MS Dhoni will again take up the wicket-keeping duties for Chennai, but his stance concerning his batting is still not clear to anyone.

Ravindra Jadeja and Maheesh Theekshana will again form their spin bowling attack and Jadeja will also be their bet against the death bowling of Delhi Capitals, Theekshana who had a breakthrough season last year, has had a middling return with the ball this time who wants to bring back his old form.

Deepak Chahar and Tushar Deshpande will again take the new ball for them with Mustafizur Rahman coming in a first-change bowler who would also be also taking the death bowling duty of the Chennai-based franchise, Chahar and Deshpande who looked out-of-depth in their first game made sure it was an exception and both of them were again amongst wickets in their very next game.

Sameer Rizvi who showed his exceptional hitting skills in his brief cameo will again be the Impact Player.
