The 30th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 will have Royal Challengers Bengaluru hosting the Sunrisers Hyderabad at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on the 15th of April, Monday.
Despite having the orange cap on his head, Virat Kohli needs to improve his strike rate, in this IPL he has been unable to provide the finishing after consuming a huge chunk of deliveries but knowing Kohli’s calibre he’ll be fine with his game.
Faf du Plessis the skipper and Kohli’s opening partner looked in an ominous touch against Mumbai, he’ll back him to do the same against Sunrisers Hyderabad which will have Bengaluru having a blistering start.
Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar will take up number 3 and 4 respectively, Jacks is a magnificent T20 player who is at his best while facing the pacers and his coming inside the power play will help him perform to the best of his potential.
Patidar’s Return to Form is Promising for His Side
Patidar has shown he’s back to form which is a good sign for his side, his ability to be unfazed by any bowling type makes him a player to have on your side.
Glenn Maxwell has been short on runs but against Hyderabad, he will need to regain his form if Bengaluru are serious with their qualifications.
Dinesh Karthik in his last season has shown he wants to end on a high, Karthik has maintained exceptional consistency while performing a very volatile role which has to be a commendable job in itself.
Mahipal Lomror Adds Essential Left-Handed Variety
With him accompanying him is Mahipal Lomror who provides the much-required left-handed variety and shields Karthik from spin bowling.
Bengaluru are again expected to go in with a four-man bowling attack, because of this they won’t have any spinner in case the pitch at Bengaluru turns.
Reece Topley and Mohammed Siraj will again take the new ball in search of New ball wickets, Siraj will have to learn defensive skills which are a must in this format.
Akash Deep and Vijay Kumar Vyshak will do the enforcer role in the middle overs while Vyshak will be again back to perform the death overs bowling.
The bowling will have their task cut down against an explosive batting lineup of Hyderabad.
