PBKS are hit by their Captain’s injury, Shikhar Dhawan missed the previous match of PBKS and he is unavailable for the clash against MI as well. Sam Curran to lead the Punjab Kings.
In the absence of Shikhar, Atharva Taide got a chance and if he failed to score big, PBKS might swap Atharva with Prabhsimran’s position.
PBKS Needs Bairstow to Score:
Jonny Bairstow has been a complete failure this season, his average is just 16 with the bat this year. In the absence of Shikhar PBKS will need runs from Bairstow’s bat.
PBKS can also think about replacing Bairstow with Rilee Rossow who can be a great option at the top against MI.
Jitesh Sharma’s Poor Form Continues
Jitesh was one of the best batters for PBKS last year but his performance this season has been below and he may also get dropped for the match against MI.
PBKS would be tempted to play an extra allrounder in his place, Rishi Dhawan could replace Jitesh with Bairstow or Prabhsimran taking the wicket-keeping duties.
