Finalists of the previous season are all set to face each other in the match 7 of IPL 2024, Its Gujarat Titans (GT) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) this match will be played at CSK’s home ground, MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on 26th March, Tuesday.

Both GT and CSK have started their campaign with a win, GT won a tough game against MI on Sunday and CSK won the season opener on Friday convincingly against RCB.

Gujarat in their first match against MI decided to play with just three overseas players keeping experienced Kane Williamson on the bench for young Sai Sudarshan who had a great season last year and he has been performing in domestics consistently.

At one stage the first match of GT was in complete favour of MI but experienced pacer Mohit Sharma in his last two overs gave away only 13 runs and took the wickets of inform Brevis and power hitter David.

In the last over MI needed 19 runs with their new skipper Hardik on the crease and Umesh was bowling, he went on conceding 10 of first 2 balls, in the next two balls Umesh took the wickets of Hardik and Chawla helping GT in registering the win.

Omarzai and Spencer Shines for GT on their IPL Debut:

GT’s Hardik Pandya’s replacement Omarzai played well on his IPL debut, scoring 17 runs at a strike rate of 154.55 and he took 2 wickets early in the powerplay, he dismissed Ishan Kishan for a 4 ball duck before removing debutant Naman Dhir for 20 runs.

Alongside Omarzai, Spencer Johnson also played an important role in GT’s opening win, he took the crucial wicket of Tilak Verma in the 19th over and heremoved Coetzee as well.
