IPL 2024: Venkatesh Iyer Trolls RCB’s Bowling Attack After KKR’s Win

Venkatesh Iyer trolls RCB’s bowling attack brutally.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) suffered their seventh defeat in IPL 2024 with a loss to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a closely contested match at Eden Gardens.

With a blistering 48 runs off 14 balls, Phil Salt provided a quick start before getting caught in the deep. Captain Shreyas Iyer’s composed fifty, along with big contributions from Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, and Ramandeep Singh, propelled KKR to a competitive total.

In reply, RCB suffered early blows with the dismissals of Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, but a scintillating partnership between Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar swung the momentum.

However, RCB’s fortunes changed quickly as they lost four wickets for just 18 runs. Despite a valiant effort from Dinesh Karthik and Karn Sharma, they fell short by just one run in the end.

In a video going viral on social media, KKR’s all-rounder, Venkatesh Iyer can be seen mocking RCB’s bowling unit.

“RCB is a dangerous team currently. They have a very good bowling attack (laughs),” Venkatesh Iyer said.

Venkatesh Iyer had a tough outing, getting out for 16 runs off 8 balls. He managed to hit three boundaries during his brief innings. However, his bowling opportunities have dwindled since the introduction of the impact player rule.
