Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) all-rounder Sameer Rizvi made a grand entrance onto the IPL stage by smashing world number one spinner Rashid Khan for a six with his very first ball.

While his teammates struggled to contain the opposition in the ongoing IPL match against CSK, Rashid Khan stood out with his exceptional bowling, claiming the wickets of Rachin Ravindra and Shivam Dube.

However, his brilliance was overshadowed by CSK debutant Sameer Rizvi, who smashed him for two towering sixes in a single over.

It all happened during the 19th over of CSK’s innings, as GT captain Shubman Gill entrusted Rashid Khan to finish his spell. Following the dismissal of Dube, Rashid found himself under fire from Rizvi, who was making his IPL debut.

Rizvi wasted no time making his mark as he faced Rashid’s delivery, which appeared harmless, aimed at the leg and middle stump. Undeterred, Rizvi opted for a bold slog sweep, launching the ball emphatically into the stands at square leg.

Then he smashed another big one, this time clearing long off, catching Rashid off guard with a tricky googly. Even though he got dismissed by Mohit Sharma in the last over, Rizvi’s smashing spree came just in time, pushing CSK past the 200-run mark to a massive total of 206.
