IPL 2025: KKR Destroys SRH’s Top Order, Internet Explodes with Funny Memes
SRH’s top order collapsed once again against KKR, and social media was flooded with memes mocking their batting struggles.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are struggling to find momentum after their loss against Lucknow Super Giant. In their recent IPL match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), their batting lineup once again disappointed, leading to criticism and trolling on social media.
Batting first, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a massive total of 200 runs for the loss of six wickets, giving SRH a tough target to chase. However, their start to the chase was far from ideal, as their top-order batters failed to deliver.
SRH’s innings began on a disastrous note as Travis Head, one of their most dependable batters, was dismissed for just four runs off two balls. His early wicket put the team under pressure right from the start.
Abhishek Sharma followed soon after, managing only two runs from six deliveries before getting out. Ishan Kishan, another key player in the SRH batting order, also fell cheaply, scoring just two runs off five balls. With three wickets down within the first three overs, the team found itself in deep trouble at just nine runs for the loss of three wickets.
At the end of the powerplay, SRH had only managed to reach 33 runs for the loss of three wickets. Nitish Kumar Reddy was at the crease with 19 runs off 14 balls, while Kamindu Mendis struggled with just five runs from nine balls.
The Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowlers were in complete control, with Vaibhav Arora taking two wickets in his three-over spell, conceding only 21 runs. Harshit Rana also bowled well, picking up one wicket while giving away just eight runs in his two overs. Varun Chakaravarthy maintained pressure with a tight over, conceding only four runs.
The fall of wickets put Sunrisers Hyderabad in a difficult position. Travis Head was dismissed in the very first over with the team’s score at just four runs. Abhishek Sharma’s wicket fell in the second over when the team had reached only nine runs.
Moments later, Ishan Kishan was dismissed, leaving SRH struggling at nine for three wickets in just the third over. The batting collapse led to a flood of memes and jokes on social media, as fans trolled the team for their repeated failures at the top of the order. Many fans expressed frustration over the inconsistent performances of SRH’s star batters, who have not been able to provide strong starts in recent matches.
