The 14th match of IPL 2025 between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) was played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. GT outplayed the home team, chasing down the target comfortably to win by eight wickets.

RCB batted first but failed to build strong partnerships. Virat Kohli (7), Devdutt Padikkal (4), and Rajat Patidar (12)fell early, leaving the team under pressure.

Liam Livingstone fought back with a 54-run knock off 40 balls, hitting five sixes. Jitesh Sharma (33 off 21) and Tim David (32 off 18) provided quick runs, but the team could only reach 169/8 in 20 overs.

For GT, Mohammed Siraj was the best bowler, taking 3 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs. Sai Kishore (2/22) and Prasidh Krishna (1/26) also contributed with the ball.

Chasing 170, GT openers Shubman Gill (14) and Sai Sudharsan (49) started cautiously. The new ball was difficult to play, but they took minimal risks.

After Gill’s dismissal in the fifth over, Sudharsan and Jos Buttler took charge, rotating the strike and finding boundaries regularly. Josh Hazlewood broke the 75-run stand, dismissing Sudharsan for 49.

However, Buttler (73 off 39) and Sherfane Rutherford (30 off 18)** finished the chase with ease. GT reached 170/2 in 17.5 overs, sealing an eight-wicket victory.

RCB’s bowlers failed to maintain pressure. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/23) and Hazlewood (1/43) were the only wicket-takers. Yash Dayal, Krunal Pandya, and Rasikh Salam leaked runs, making it easy for GT’s batters.
