Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets in the 6th match of the IPL 2025.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured their first win of IPL 2025 by defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by eight wickets at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati. Batting first, RR struggled to build momentum and managed to post 151/9 in 20 overs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (29 off 24) and Dhruv Jurel (33 off 28) made useful contributions, but regular wickets kept their innings in check. Moeen Ali (2/23) and Varun Chakaravarthy (2/17) were the pick of the KKR bowlers, ensuring that RR never got a strong finish.
In response, KKR chased down the target comfortably in 17.3 overs, thanks to a brilliant knock from Quinton de Kock. The South African wicketkeeper-batter remained unbeaten on 97 off 61 balls, smashing eight fours and six sixes.

Ajinkya Rahane chipped in with 18 off 15 before being dismissed, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi (22* off 17) played a supporting role to see KKR home. Rajasthan’s bowling attack failed to create pressure, with none of their bowlers making a significant impact.
With this win, KKR bounced back after their opening loss to RCB and opened their account in the points table.

On the other hand, RR suffered their second consecutive defeat and will need to regroup quickly.
