After the match, he shared pictures on social media, including a team photo. In one of those pictures, fans spotted the word “Prince” on his bat, and the image quickly went viral.
The moment sparked a wave of reactions across platforms, with many wondering if Shubman Gill is embracing the title that fans and experts have often linked with him — the “Prince” of Indian cricket, seen as the next big thing after Virat Kohli, who is popularly known as the “King.”

The match itself was a big one for Gujarat Titans. Batting first, they posted a solid 198/3 with half-centuries from Gill and Sai Sudharsan (52), along with a quickfire 41* from Jos Buttler. KKR, in response, managed just 159/8. Despite a fighting fifty from Ajinkya Rahane, the defending champions could not chase the target.
