Additionally, Brook’s absence from the recent IND vs ENG Test series was due to personal reasons.

On a similar note, Gus Atkinson pulled out from the IPL 2024 for KKR, with the ECB citing workload management as the reason for the pacer’s rest. KKR replaced him with Sri Lanka pacer Dusmantha Chameera. Similarly, Jason Roy recently pulled out due to personal reasons, leading the Knights to replace him with fellow English batter Phil Salt.

In addition to KKR, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) also experienced the departure of ace pacer Mark Wood from IPL 2024, citing workload management as the reason. LSG in response recruited West Indies’ Shamar Joseph as Wood’s replacement.
