‘It Is My Wish To Play in IPL’ – Hasan Ali Expresses His Desire

Pakistan players are banned in IPL.

Widely regarded as the pinnacle of T20 cricket, the Indian Premier League is a coveted stage where nearly every cricketer dreams of making a mark at least once in their lifetime.

The newest addition to the list is Pakistani fast bowler Hassan Ali, who has recently opened up on his eagerness to participate in the IPL, recognizing it as the premier T20 league in global cricket.

Notably, Pakistan players have been prohibited from participating in the IPL since the 2008 Mumbai terror attack. Some Pakistan players like Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar, and Misbah-ul-Haq were part of the inaugural season.

“Every player wants to play in the IPL & it is my wish to play there. It is one of the biggest leagues in the world and I will definitely play there if there is an opportunity in the future,” said Hasan Ali on Samaa Lounge.

Due to ongoing political tensions, India and Pakistan refrain from engaging in bilateral series, only crossing paths in ICC tournaments. Given the Indian government’s firm stance, the prospect of Pakistani players participating in the IPL seems unlikely in the foreseeable future.
