It Was in The Heat of The Moment Says Suryakumar Yadav on ‘Stare’ Incident With Virat Kohli in IPL 2020
Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli's 'stare incident' during Match 48 of IPL 2020 on October 28 was the biggest controversy of the tournament this season.

Suryakumar Yadav recently opened up on his controversy with Virat Kohli in Match 48 of just-concluded Indian Premier League. He said that both he and Kohli reacted in the heat of the moment during that intense game and there was ‘nothing going on’ between him and Kohli.
The incident happened in Match number 48, October 28 where Mumbai Indians were chasing 165 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Suryakumar Yadav was on the field and playing brilliantly. During a run chase, Kohli tried to sledge MI batsman, who just gave him a stare back without uttering a single word.
The Video of the incident went viral after the match as it happened just a day after SKY was omitted from the Indian squad for the Australia tour.
“It was in the heat of the moment, there was nothing going on between me and him from before that we brought into that game. Even I was surprised with how that incident got highlighted after the game. But it was really nice to have that game against him,” Surya told Sports Tak.
“I have always seen him (Virat Kohli) as energetic in every game it wasn’t like that game against MI was an exception. Even when he plays for Team India or against any team in the IPL, his aggression and energy is always spot on. It was an important game for RCB as well because they also had the chance to go into top-2 if they had won.
“After the match he was just normal. He said, ‘well played’ to everybody afterwards. It was just in that moment (his staring incident with Virat Kohli). He also knew at that situation who was the key player in the opposition.”
As long as that match is concerned, Mumbai Indians won the game by five wickets, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav. He played an elegant inning of 79 runs off 43 balls with the help of three sixes and ten fours and remained unbeaten.
Suryakumar Yadav’s ‘Mai Hoon Na’ celebration after the match also went viral on social media. Fans and all the cricket fraternity were heaping praise on the MI batsman for his performance in the match.
