Jos Buttler to Miss Part of Pakistan T20 Series: Report
England captain Jos Buttler might miss matches against Pakistan.
England’s preparations for the T20 World Cup 2024 suffered a huge blow as captain Jos Buttler might miss part of their upcoming four-match T20I series against Pakistan.
Jos Buttler, alongside several other England players, cut short their IPL 2024 stints to join the national team.
Reports suggest Jos Buttler could be called away at any moment as he and his wife Louise anticipate the arrival of their third child in the coming days.
This personal commitment might force him to miss some matches in the series. The England captain had a decent IPL season, scoring 359 runs in 11 matches with two centuries.
Adding to the team’s temporary leadership woes, head coach Matthew Mott is also missing due to a family issue. Assistant coach Richard Dawson steered the practice session on Monday, with Mott expected to rejoin by Tuesday – just a day before the series kick-off.
