The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that all English players participating in the IPL will return home before the play-offs to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to begin on June 2nd in the USA and West Indies.

This news comes as a blow to franchises that have benefited from the exceptional performances of English stars like Jos Buttler, who has smashed 319 runs in eight matches for Rajasthan Royals at a strike rate of 150.

Similarly, Phil Salt has been a revelation for Kolkata Knight Riders, amassing 392 runs in nine matches at a staggering strike rate of 180. Will Jacks also impressed, smashing the fastest century of the season while playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
