Josh Little Decides to Skip Pakistan Series to Play IPL 2024
Josh Little is part of Gujarat Titans squad in IPL 2024
Ireland fast bowler Josh Little has decided to skip the upcoming three-match T20 series against Pakistan as well as the tri-series between Ireland, Netherlands, and Scotland to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, where he is a part of the Gujarat Titans.
Ireland has recently announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, and the squad remains the same, which will be taking on Pakistan from May 10 and in the tri-series, with the only exception of Josh Little, who is not present in the squad for these bilateral and trilateral series.
However, Ireland’s cricket fans can take a sigh of relief as he will be playing in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Meanwhile, Ireland’s head coach, Heinrich Malan, opened up on the tight T20I schedule awaiting the Irish team. Here’s what Heinrich Malan said in an official statement:
“We have an intensive block of T20 cricket coming up this month ahead of the T20 World Cup – we have seven games in 15 days as preparation for the tournament. We will not be treating those seven games as warm-ups; though, we’ll be aiming to win as many of those games as possible.”
Ireland’s T20 World Cup 2024 Squad: Paul Stirling (C), Mark Adair, Ross Adair, Andrew Balbirnie, Curtis Campher, Gareth Delany, George Dockrell, Graham Hume, Josh Little, Barry McCarthy, Neil Rock, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Ben White, Craig Young.
