Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli will face each other for the first time after IPL 2023.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACC), on Wednesday, September 13 announced their 15-member squad for the highly anticipated ICC ODI World Cup 2023, set to take place in India.

Hashmatullah Shahidi will lead the team, with the likes of Rashid Khan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Mohammed Nabi being their star players in the squad. However, one notable inclusion is that of pacer Naveen-ul-Haq, who is making a comeback after missing out on the Asia Cup 2023 squad.

For the unversed, Naveen-ul-Haq, who was part of a Lucknow Super Giant team in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 made headlines with the verbal exchange with Virat Kohli, and it became a massive controversy.

Meanwhile, India will lock horns with Afghanistan on 11 October at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, the home ground of Virat Kohli. For the first time since their IPL faceoff, Kohli and Naveen will come face to face and fans are already excited for their epic showdown.
