The Indian Premier League has been hit by another injury setback, with fast bowlers bearing the brunt once more. After Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Choudhary, it is now Uttar Pradesh pacer Mohsin Khan who is set to miss the upcoming season.
The 24-year-old left-arm pacer announced himself in style during the last edition of the IPL, making his debut for Lucknow Super Giants and finishing the season with 14 wickets in just nine matches, at an economy rate of less than six.
Mohsin Khan’s fast bowling prowess was on full display during the 15th edition of the tournament, as his height and unorthodox left-arm angle made him a formidable opponent for any batter.
However, the bowler has been sidelined since then due to a surgery and it was speculated that he has completed his recovery and will participate in the upcoming season of the lucrative league.
Moshin Khan Trains With LSG
He is currently training with the Lucknow Super Giants in the hopes of making a comeback in this season, though team officials have refrained from providing any predictions about his availability. With the IPL set to begin on March 31, only time will tell if he will be fit to take the field.
Lucknow Super Giants are all set to begin their IPL campaign on April 1, when they take on Delhi Capitals at their home ground of Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. With KL Rahul at the helm, the team will be looking to start their season on a high note, while David Warner will lead the Capitals in the absence of regular captain Rishabh Pant.
