Ishan Kishan had also smashed a 17-ball fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) back in 2018.

Mumbai Indians’ young wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan smacked the fastest fifty of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season, against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
The left-handed batsman reached his fifty in just 16 balls, smashing eight fours and two sixes in his team’s last league stage fixture of the season.
This is now the fastest fifty in IPL 2021, overtaking Kieron Pollard, who smashed a fifty in 17 balls against CSK in Delhi in the first phase of the tournament. Prithvi Shaw is third on this list with an 18-ball fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Ishan’s fifty was also the fastest half-century for the Mumbai outfit. The 23-year-old Patna lad had also smashed a 17-ball fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders back in 2018.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Mumbai Indians got a brilliant start, thanks to Ishan Kishan. The left-hander hit Mohammad Nabi for a first-ball six before smashing Siddarth Kaul for four back-to-back boundaries.
Kishan was dismissed in the 10th over after scoring a blazing 84 off just 32 balls with the help of eleven fours and 4 sixes in Abu Dhabi.
