MLC 2023: Quinton de Kock Puts on a Clinic, Helps Seattle Orcas Reach Final with Qualifier Win vs Texas Super Kings
Quinton de Kock smashed an unbeaten knock of 88 runs from 50 balls.

Seattle Orcas, on Thursday, July 27, outplayed Texas Super Kings in a one-sided qualifier match by nine wickets to secure a place in the final of the tournament.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss proved to be a disastrous move for the Texas Super Kings, as they could only score 126 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the entire 20-over innings.
In reply, Quinton de Kock unleashed a storm, smashing an unbeaten 88 runs from 50 balls, as Seattle Orcas chased down the target in just 15.3 overs. Apart from him, Shehan Jayasuriya also chipped in with a 31-run contribution.
De Kock’s scintillating innings earned him the well-deserved ‘Player of the Match’ award, and his exceptional performance guaranteed Seattle Orcas’ place as the first team to qualify for the final.
However, it’s not the end of the road for Texas Super Kings in the tournament, as they will have another opportunity in the Challenger match against MI, New York, to fight for a place in the final.
