Moeen Ali IPL Price: When Did KKR Sign the England All-Rounder?

Moeen Ali, the experienced England all-rounder, has officially joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the IPL 2025 season. He made his debut for the franchise in their match against Rajasthan Royals at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati.

He replaced Sunil Narine in the Playing XI as he was unwell. Meanwhile, Moeen Ali impressed with the ball, picking up two wickets while giving away just 23 runs in four wickets.

When Did Moeen Ali Join KKR?

Moeen Ali was bought by KKR during the IPL 2025 mega auction, which took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The franchise secured him at his base price of INR 2 crore after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) released him ahead of the season.

Moeen had been an important part of CSK from 2021 to 2024, playing a crucial role in their success. In the previous IPL cycle, he was earning INR 8 crore per season with CSK. However, his value dropped in the 2025 mega auction, with KKR being the only team to place a bid for him.
