Mohammed Shami Resumes Bowling, Eyes Comeback in Bangladesh Test Series

Mohammed Shami has returned to action after a long injury layoff.

India’s senior fast bowler Mohammed Shami is back to bowling in the nets after being sidelined for a long time with an ankle injury.

Mohammed Shami, India’s leading wicket-taker in the ODI World Cup 2023, played the entire tournament with a sore ankle and underwent major surgery immediately after.

Since the surgery, he has been out of action, missing both IPL 2024 and the T20 World Cup 2024, which India recently won in the Caribbean.

Mohammed Shami has now shared an update on his injury and potential comeback by posting a video of himself bowling in the nets, accompanied by the caption:

“Vibing with the latest, grinding for the greatest.”

Should everything proceed smoothly, Mohammed Shami is expected to make his return during the Bangladesh series, with Bangladesh coming to India for a three-match T20I series and two-match Test series.
