New Zealand Announces 15-Member Squad for T20 World Cup 2024

Kane Williamson will be leading New Zealand in T20 World Cup 2024.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has named a 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, to be held jointly in the Caribbean and the United States. The selection sees the return of all-rounder Michael Bracewell after a long injury lay-off.

Captain Kane Williamson retains the leadership role, while veteran pacer Trent Boult, who isn’t the part of New Zealand’s current central contract also finds a place in the squad.
Established names like Tim Southee, Mitchell Santner, Devon Conway, Ish Sodhi, and Matt Henry secure their spots.

There are, however, a few notable omissions – Adam Milne and Tim Seifert miss out. NZC has placed their faith in the sole wicketkeeper option, Devon Conway, who is recovering from a hand injury.

Fresh faces Rachin Ravindra and Matt Henry will be making their T20 World Cup debuts. Head Coach Gary Stead expressed confidence in the chosen 15, while shedding light on their ability to cover all bases and succeed in the Caribbean conditions.
