England tour of Pakistan 2022: England is scheduled to play 3 Tests in a month-long visit.
England is set to tour Pakistan for a three-match Test series, starting at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, on December 1, with the remaining two matches to be played in Multan and Karachi.
The Englishmen will be playing red-ball cricket for the first time on Pakistan soil after 17 years. They last visited Pakistan for a Test series back in 2005, where they were handed a 2-0 defeat.
Earlier England had toured Pakistan in September–October to play a seven-match T20I series in preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup. The Moeen Ali-led side bagged the series by winning four matches out of seven.
PAK vs ENG Squads for Test Series
Pakistan announced their 18-member squad for the much-anticipated three-match World Test Championship series against England. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fawad Alam are the notable absentees from the squad.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been recalled to the team. However, with Mohammad Rizwan being the first wicket-keeper batting choice, it is yet to be seen if he gets a chance in Pakistan’s starting XI.

England, on the other hand, named a 15-member squad for the three-match Test series against Pakistan. Veteran fast bowler Stuart Broad hasn’t been considered for selection as he is on paternity leave.
Meanwhile, Will Jacks earned his maiden call-up to the England Test. Jacks and Liam Livingstone are expected to make their Test debut for England in this series. Mark Wood has also been included in the team.
