Pakistan All-Rounder Imad Wasim Gets Injured Just Before T20 World Cup 2024

Imad Wasim missed the 4th T20I against England due to injury.

Pakistan suffered a huge blow ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 as their star all-rounder Imad Wasim missed the fourth and final T20I match against England due to discomfort in his right rib cage.

The 35-year-old experienced the issue during a training session on Wednesday and underwent a precautionary scan as advised by the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) medical panel.

“Keeping the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in mind, Imad will take ample rest and is expected to be fit before the start of Pakistan’s campaign,” the PCB said in a statement.

The medical panel is closely monitoring Imad Wasim’s progress and will provide further updates if needed. However, as of now he is expected to get fit before the T20 World Cup 2024.

Meanwhile, England won the toss and elected to bowl first in the ongoing match. With rain washing out two previous encounters, this is the only completed match so far, with England securing a 23-run victory in the second T20I.

This final match presents a crucial opportunity for both teams to address any weaknesses and finalize their playing combinations before the T20 World Cup.

Pakistan will hope for a strong performance despite Imad’s absence, while England will aim to maintain their winning momentum.
