Hassan Nawaz smashed an unbeaten century as Pakistan chased down 205 runs in just 16 overs, creating a new world record in T20I cricket.

Hassan Nawaz had a tough start to the series. He was out for zero in both of the first two matches. However, Pakistan continued to support him, and he proved his worth in the third game. He smashed 105 runs off just 45 balls, hitting 10 fours and seven sixes. His outstanding innings helped Pakistan break a long-standing record.

In 2007, South Africa chased down 208 runs in 17.4 overs with eight wickets in hand. That was the fastest chase of a 200+ target in T20I history. Now, after 18 years, Pakistan have broken that record. They chased 205 runs in only 16 overs, losing just one wicket.

Pakistan also became the first team to chase a 200+ target three times while losing one or no wickets.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. New Zealand scored 204 runs in 19.5 overs. Mark Chapman was the best batter for the Kiwis, scoring 94 runs off 44 balls.
