PBKS vs KKR: Why Lockie Ferguson Is Not Playing Today’s IPL 2025 Match?
Lockie Ferguson has ruled out of three remainder of the IPL 2025.

Punjab Kings are playing their 31st match of IPL 2025 against Kolkata Knight Riders at the new stadium in Chandigarh. Shreyas Iyer, the captain of PBKS, won the toss and decided to bowl first.
One big absence from Punjab Kings’ squad is New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson. He has been ruled out of the tournament after suffering an injury during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Ferguson had been an important part of Punjab’s bowling attack with his raw pace and ability to trouble batters in the powerplay and death overs. His injury is a big blow to PBKS, who are already struggling to find consistency in this season.
Punjab Kings have made two big changes. They handed IPL debuts to Josh Inglis, the Australian wicketkeeper-batter, and Xavier Bartlett, a promising Australian pacer. Marcus Stoinis was also missing from the playing XI, but no reason was shared by the team management about his absence.
Kolkata Knight Riders made one change to their squad as well. Anrich Nortje replaced Moeen Ali in the playing XI.
