‘Pitch Wasn’t Easy, Mukesh Kumar Bowled Outstanding’ – Ishan Kishan
Mukesh Kumar bowled at an economy rate of less than 8 against Australia in the first T20I

India defeated Australia by two wickets in the first T20I of the five-match series, taking a 1-0 lead. India successfully chased the mammoth 209-run target, marking their highest-ever run chase in T20Is.
Opting to bowl first, the Australian batters dominated the Indian bowlers. Yet, amid the onslaught, one bowler remained unscathed—Mukesh Kumar.
Mukesh delivered a splendid and cost-effective spell, boasting an economy rate of under eight, while the other pacers conceded runs at rates exceeding 10. Mukesh conceded just 29 runs from his four overs.
Ishan Kishan heaped praise on Mukesh Kumar for his exceptional bowling. Here’s what he said:
“I think the bowlers did a great job, we were put under pressure, but credit to Mukesh for the way he bowled, the wicket wasn’t easy to bowl on, but to go at less then 9 rpo was outstanding.”
The next T20I clash between India and Australia is scheduled for November 26 in Thiruvananthapuram.
