PSL 2024: Peshawar Zalmi Owner Gifts Limited Edition Car to Babar Azam for His Century Against Islamabad United
Javed Afridi gifted a limited edition car to Babar Azam.
The Peshawar Zalmi’s captain, Babar Azam, scored a magnificent century against Islamabad United in the recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 match at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Monday, February 26th.
In a breathtaking display of batting prowess, Babar Azam powered his way to an unbeaten 111 runs from 63 balls, featuring 14 boundaries and two sixes. His heroics secured an eight-run win for the Zalmi against Islamabad United.
Javed Afridi, the Chairman of Peshawar Zalmi, expressed his admiration for Babar Azam’s remarkable performance by presenting him with a special gift. Afridi announced that Azam would be gifted an MG HS Essence car in appreciation of his brilliant century.
With his 11th T20 century, Babar Azam now sits second on the all-time list behind Chris Gayle, who boasts an impressive 22 centuries in the format.
