Rahul Dravid to Join Lucknow Super Giants or Rajasthan Royals as Mentor Ahead of IPL 2024

Rahul Dravid's tenure as India's head coach came to an end with the World Cup 2023.

As the former Indian head coach, Rahul Dravid, concludes his contract post the World Cup 2023, there are expectations of him stepping into a mentoring role with either the Rajasthan Royals or Lucknow Super Giants in the lead-up to the IPL 2024 season.

Following the disappointing T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai, Rahul Dravid assumed the role of India’s head coach. Despite achieving success in certain areas, he couldn’t break India’s ICC trophy drought.

India, under his coaching, reached the finals of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and the World Test Championship 2023 but ended up as the runner-up, facing defeat against Australia on both occasions.

There are reports suggesting that Lucknow Super Giants, owned by Sanjiv Goenka, are expressing a strong interest in securing Rahul Dravid as a mentor for the team. This move comes after the departure of Gautam Gambhir, who decided to take on a mentoring role with the Kolkata Knight Riders.
