Robin Uthappa announces retirement from all forms of Cricket
Robin Uthappa took to Twitter to announce his retirement.
On Wednesday, September 14, former India batter Robin Uthappa announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The Karnataka batter took to Twitter to announce the development.
The right-handed batter made his debut for team India against England in Guwahati and went on to play 46 ODIs, in which he accumulated a total of 934 runs. Uthappa also represented India in 13 T20Is, where he amassed 249 runs at a strike-rate of 118.01.
The swashbuckling was also a part of the Indian squad in the inaugural edition of T20 World Cup in 2007 and played several crucial knocks in the showpiece event.
Uthappa, in his note thanked all the IPL teams he has played so far, including Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders for whom he also won 2 titles during his stay.
“It has been my greatest honour to represent my country and my state, Karnataka. However, all good things must come to an end, and with a grateful heart, I have decided to retire from all forms of Indian cricket. Thank you all,” wrote Uthappa.
