‘Rohit Will Feel Uncomfortable Playing Under Hardik Pandya’ – Sanjay Manjrekar Ahead of IPL 2024

Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the captain of Mumbai Indians for IPL 2024.

Former Indian cricketer turned renowned expert analyst and commentator, Sanjay Manjrekar, feels that Rohit Sharma is going to feel uncomfortable playing under the Mumbai Indians‘ new captain, Hardik Pandya, who has been brought back to the team after being released in 2022.

Notably, ever since Hardik Pandya has been appointed as the captain of the Mumbai Indians, fans of Rohit Sharma are very unhappy with the team. Some even suggest that he should leave the franchise right away and join another new franchise.

Given the recent events, particularly in the aftermath of Team India’s defeat in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final against Australia, Rohit Sharma might be experiencing unease playing under the leadership of a player who not only debuted in the IPL but also made his mark in Indian cricket with his support.

Here’s what Sanjay Manjrekar told Star Sports:

“It’s going to be tricky. Hardik Pandya is a guy who has got a bit of swag. He will carry that into the Mumbai Indians dressing room as well. And it will be a bit uncomfortable because Rohit Sharma might have thought, he will get one more year as captain.”
