Sanju Samson could not make much of an impact in Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2025 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. The RR captain was dismissed after scoring just 13 runs off 11 balls, and KKR pacer Vaibhav Arora made sure to celebrate in style.

Vaibhav Arora’s Fiery Send-Off to Samson

The dismissal happened in the fourth over of RR’s innings when Samson tried to take on Vaibhav Arora. The batter stepped out to attack, but the ball was too good for him, crashing into the stumps. Arora was pumped up after taking the big wicket and gave an aggressive send-off to the RR skipper.

Rajasthan Royals Lose Riyan Parag Early

After Samson’s departure, RR suffered another blow as Varun Chakaravarthy dismissed Riyan Parag immediately after coming into the attack. At the end of eight overs, RR were at 67/2, with Yashasvi Jaiswal batting on 28* off 21 balls. Former KKR batter Nitish Rana was at the non-striker’s end.

Both teams have struggled at the start of IPL 2025. While KKR lost their opening match to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, RR faced a heavy 44-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad. With both teams desperate for a win, this match promises to be an intense battle.
