The arrests were made just ahead of the arrival of three IPL teams scheduled to play in the upcoming qualifier and eliminator matches at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The quick action by the ATS ensured the safety of the teams, players, and spectators. All four arrested individuals are Sri Lankan nationals, and authorities are currently investigating the extent of their plans.
Kolkata Knight Riders, who finished atop the points table, will be facing Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 1 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday, May 21.
On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be facing Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator game at Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday, May 22.
For the later stages of the IPL, the focus shifts to Chennai. MA Chidambaram Stadium will host the second qualifier and the grand finale, promising an electrifying conclusion to the tournament.
