Shahid Afridi Appointed Pakistan’s Chief Selector on Interim Basis
Shahid Afridi has been appointed as the new chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team on an interim basis.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on Saturday (December 24) appointed Shahid Afridi as the chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team on an interim basis after they sacked the selection committee headed by Mohammad Wasim.
The decision came just a few days after Pakistan were whitewashed by England in the three-match Test series. Earlier they lost the seven-match T20I series against England as well. They also lost the home Test series against WTC table-toppers Australia.
“PCB Management Committee has appointed former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi as the interim Chair of the Men’s National Selection Committee. Other members of the panel are Abdul Razzaq and Rao Iftikhar Anjum. Haroon Rashid will be the Convener,” wrote the PCB on their official Twitter account.
