Shikhar Dhawan named captain as BCCI announces squad for ODI series against South Africa
Shikhar Dhawan will lead team in the three-match ODI series against South Africa.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Sunday (October 2) announced the squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against South Africa, starting October 6 at Lucknow.
Shikhar Dhawan has been named the captain of the team while Shreyas Iyer being his deputy. Also with T20 World Cup-bound players set to travel to Australia next week, no one from that squad has been added into the ODI squad.
India ODI Squad:
Shikhar Dhawan (C), Shreyas Iyer (VC), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shubhman Gill, Rajat Patidar, Rahul Tripathi, Ishan Kishan (WK), Sanju Samson (WK), Shahbaz Ahmed, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Mohd. Siraj, Deepak Chahar.
